BOM forecaster Peter Newham said showers last weekend had resulted in 15.6mm of rain at the Warrnambool airport.
"There's another front later in the week with expected falls of between 10 to 20mm Friday to Saturday," he said.
"For April there are no strong indications for either wetter or drier conditions so we are expecting average rainfall and we would all take that," he said.
"There's no strong signals for the next one to three months," he said.
Warrnambool is expecting a top temperature of just 14 degrees on Saturday with showers tipped on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Friday's top temperature is expected to be 17 degrees and Sunday 16.
