Acting Sergeant Roger McClure said there was a burglary at Baimbridge College.
He said the break-in occurred at 3.55am on Saturday.
"Nothing appears to be stolen," he said.
"The offenders forced entry into a building.
"The scene is being processed and anyone who saw anything in the vicinity around that time is urged to let us know."
Meanwhile, police are also seeking information about two small fires which were lit at Hamilton Community Garden at the back of the NAB branch.
Acting Sergeant McClure said one fire was reported at 10.40pm on Friday night and another at the same location at 1.15am on Saturday morning.
