Golden Flag was a short priced favourite to win at his jumping debut last week but the highly-spruiked jumper lost his rider at the second-last jump.
Golden Flag and stablemate I'll'ava'alf will be aimed at next week's qualifying race for the Jericho Cup to be run at Warrnambool in December.
"It's a better option for my two horses to try and get a few points going towards the Jericho Cup," Ryan said.
"They will both be set for different jumping races after the flat race next Friday."
Jumps racing resumed at Terang last year after a 10-year break.
Champion jumps jockey Steven Pateman has his first jumping rides for the 2019 season when he guides October Date in a maiden hurdle for Ballarat trainer Nick Smart and the Patrick Payne-trained Killarney Kid in a restricted hurdle.
The first race is scheduled for 1.15pm with the last set down for decision at 5pm.
