HAIRDRESSERS in Woolsthorpe will have a few extra appointment times available this month after many of the township lost their locks for Leukemia on Saturday night.

More than 200 gathered at the Woolsthorpe Hotel, raising $15,177 for the Leukemia Foundation.
This figure, organiser Sue Bell said, "Is the second-highest in Victoria".
"There were heaps of us on stage," Ms Bell said. "Lots of little kids got up and got their heads shaved.
"Once they started they all wanted to be a part of it."
The event was held at the Woolsthorpe Hotel after publican Michelle Guyett-McQuilton suggested it become a community event.
"I can't thank Michelle enough for her support," Ms Bell said.
"After she jumped on board and offered support the event went berserk."
Ms Bell said next year they were aiming for top spot.
"Apparently we were beaten by abc radio, so next year we're going to beat them."
"This can only get bigger and better."
Community support, Ms Bell said was the key to Saturday's success.
"I started this but it was Woolsthorpe that finished it."
The World's Greatest Shave is an annual event where family, friends, businesses and individuals come together to raise money by getting sponsored to shave or colour their hair.
The money collected from sponsors goes toward research into better treatments and cures for leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders.
Sponsorship also supports families with free accommodation near a hospital during treatment.
