Federal Senator Fraser Anning has labelled Prime Minister Scott Morrison a hypocrite, and says he wants citizens to have a say on migration.
HIS RESPONSE TO BEING HIT WITH AN EGG
-- The senator says he was acting in self defence when he struck a boy who cracked him on the back of the head with an egg.
-- "He got a slap across the face, which is what his mother should have given him long ago, because he's been misbehaving badly."
-- "When somebody cracks you in the back of your head, you react and defend yourself."
-- "That for years is what Australians have been doing, luckily they did that in the trenches otherwise we'd be all speaking German now probably."
THE CHRISTCHURCH TERROR ATTACK
-- "There's no place for that sort of violence in any civilised society. Unfortunately that sort of violence is already here; usually its being perpetrated by the Muslims attacking the infidels, or Christians.
-- "I totally condemned it, and I will continue."
-- "There's not place for that sort of violence in any civilised society."
-- "I don't think they deserve to be shot."
REFORMS TO MIGRATION IN AUSTRALIA
-- Senator Anning has again called for reforms that would allow citizens to determine who can migrate to Australia and how many people should be allowed to stay.
ON ATTENDING A GUN SHOW IN IPSWICH ON SUNDAY
-- The Queensland senator went to a gun show on Sunday, two days after 50 people were killed and dozens injured when a man opened fire on two mosques.
-- "I'm a shooter. I'd already accepted an invitation to go to that. People can be inflamed if they like, its entirely up to them. I don't usually back away from the things I like to do."
BEING CENSURED IN PARLIAMENT
-- Labor and the Coalition have agreed to censure Senator Anning when parliament resumes.
-- "I hope it's not too painful. What's Mr Morrison going to give me a flogging with his lace hanky or something like that, is it?"
-- Senator Anning claims Prime Minister Scott Morrison's government is "funding those terrorist countries", in reference to Palestine and Pakistan.
-- "Mr Morrison himself is a bit hypocritical."
