Burt, who previously coached Dennington to premiership success in the Warrnambool and District league, will bring a "wealth of experience" to the 17 and under squad, says WCNA administrator Marg Morgan.

The WCNA will play host to the association championships, held on May 26, with Burt joined by Meagan Forth as 15 and under coach, and Stacey Baker as 13 and under coach.

Forth, who coaches Old Collegians in the WDFNL, returns for a second stint with her side, while Baker is new to the role.

"I'm really glad we were able to appoint this calibre of coaches," Morgan said.

"They have all proven their coaching credentials in their own fields.

Morgan said given the association championships were ultimately about talent identification, it was important for all players to get the maximum court-time possible. 

She said hosting the championships provides the added bonus of allowing the WCNA to put second-tier sides into the under 13 and 15 competitions, giving more players exposure to selectors. 

Squads won't be changed after selections are completed next week. 

The WCNA's club challenge concluded last night with grand finals played in under 13, under 15 and under 17 divisions at Warrnambool Stadium.

Koroit defeated Warrnambool 38-25 in the under 17s, with Bella Baker player of the match. 

Terang Mortlake defeated South Warrnambool 27-25 in the under 15s, with May Suhan player of the match.

Warrnambool defeated North Warrnambool 22-17 in the under 13s, with Abbey Mack player of the match.
