The Bulls will travel to Melbourne to play in the NRL Victoria Nines tournament at Werribee's Churnside Park on Saturday.
Keegan Gaby, one of the club's players and committee members, said the inclusion of three new players to the side would provide an added boost for the south-west team as it prepares for its first tilt at the tournament.
Former New South Wales resident Andrew Ferguson, who recently joined the club after moving south, and ex-Warrnambool rugby players Pepe Heremaia and Will Green will slot into the Bulls' 15-strong squad for the tournament.
Gaby said the way the nines format is played would suit how Gunditjmara play its rugby.
"It is really fast-paced rugby. Usually rugby has thirteen players so with less people it makes it really quick," he said.
"The new style will suit us we don't have the biggest team but we are quick, small blokes and that's the style we like to play.
"Its going to be good experience for us and all the boys are excited about it. It's also a chance to work with new players and how the gel with new players."
The Bulls will be pitted against teams from across the state in the open men's draw.
