The division one women's side, who returned to the grade this year after a four-year hiatus, and one of the men's division three teams need to win their cross-over matches on Monday to qualify for the final.
Both sides finished third in their grades. The women's side finished its six games with Three wins, two losses and a draw, while the men won five and lost once.
Warrnambool Volleyball Association President Craig Gibbs, who is playing with his sons in division three, said the men's side had worked well as a team.
"It's been enjoyable and we have gel well as a group," he said. "We were pretty inexperienced coming in but we have had a ball.
"It's been a little bit of a step up in speed for some of the guys but they have adjusted quite well. It should lead to some good growth for the club in further years."
The women's team will be without Rachelle Casely after she was ruled on Sunday night with an injured knee.
The association's other division three men's side finished in fifth, while the second tier women placed sixth.
The third division, who were made up of the club's rising stars, ended the tournament in seventh place.
Gibbs also confirmed Melbourne University Renegades were on track to defend their honours men's and women's crowns heading into the final day of the tournament.
The final day features seven cross-over finals, which will be narrowed down into five deciders from division three to the premier grade.
