“Covert Miss is my best hope,” the Warrnambool based trainer said. “She was just nosed out at Warrnambool last week and before that she missed the start at Great Western.
"I thought both those runs were very good. Alana’s three-kilogram claim is a big bonus. It will bring Covert Miss into the race really well. She rode Covert Miss last week and did a great job.
"Alana rode four horses in trials for me at Ballarat on Tuesday morning. She’s a promising young jockey.”
Blamey House and Set The Bar High are Wilde’s other runners on the eight-race program.
Wilde, who also has stables at Ballarat, has booked Kelly to ride Set The Bar High in a 1850-metre race, while Jack Hill will ride Blamey House.
The powerful Snowden stable ventures to Terang with Act Of Fame. The three-year-old filly has the services of Daniel Stackhouse in a fillies maiden over 1200 metres.
The first race is scheduled to start at 12.30pm with the last set down to begin at 4.35pm.
