Colac police are investigation the cause of suspicious two-hectare grass fire on the south-west edge of the city.

Detective Senior Constable Stuart Sims, of the Colac police crime investigation unit, said a fire was reported to police at J. Barrys Road at Elliminyt on Monday about 4pm.
"A car was seen leaving the area," he said.
"The cause of that fire is currently being viewed as suspicious. Four trucks and a helicopter fought the blaze."
Detective Senior Constable Sims requested anyone with information about the fire contact the Colac police station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
