The match of the round saw first play third in a heavyweight clash one week before finals.
And while scores were close for much of the proceedings, Koroit ultimately won out 92-78, taking home 12 points to Warrnambool Gold's four.
Koroit's Peter Daly said he always relished the chance to play the "best team in the history of the competition".
"Playing a top quality side leading into finals is exactly what we wanted," he said.
"Warrnambool are always tough competitors, but it was a good hit-out.
"And we're sitting pretty on top of the ladder, which I think is a great credit to our small club."
Koroit's division two side, which finished fourth, and division three side, which finished third, will also get a taste of finals action.
But there must be something in the water at Koroit with the town's football team winning the last five Hampden league flags, and the netball team winning the last two in a row.
And Daly said he hoped the Koroit Bowls Club could add to the town's incredible recent sporting success across different codes.
"We'd love to emulate our local footy and netball sides," he said.
"But we've got a bit of work to do yet. So all we can do is try our best."
The Koroit Blue team is made up of Scott Boschen, Stephen Quinlan, Anthony Collins, Damian Clifford, Brendan Keane, Thomas O'Shannessy, Glen Keane, John Murnane, Les Johnson, Wayne Cooper, Peter Cook, Richard Ross, Brian 'Blackie' Lenehan, Stephen Mitchell, Peter Daly and Alan Sullivan.
Meanwhile, City Red also built some serious momentum heading into finals with a 119-66 win over City Gold, locking them in for second spot on the ladder.
Koroit Blue will play City Red next week for a spot in the grand final, with Warrnambool Gold playing off against Port Fairy Gold in the elimination final.
