AquaZone is taking part in the Move for a Better World competition, but you don't have to be a gym member to participate.
Members or south-west residents who have their own heart rate monitor can 'donate' their exercise to help win equipment for Warrnambool's Parkinson's Support Group.
Group member Andrew Suggett said the more people who signed up and the more exercise they did, the better the chances of securing equipment such as tread mills or exercise bikes.
"We will give any equipment we may receive to Lyndoch Living, or Anchor Point, or it could go to people with Parkinson's to use in their own home for a certain amount of time," he said.
"Exercise is the second best thing to do behind taking medication for Parkinson's. It really does help to get out and be active."
AquaZone manager Ray Smith encouraged the whole community to get involved in the worldwide competition, which runs from March 11 to 31.
AquaZone will also be taking some of their exercise bikes out and about, so people can have a go at the Pavilion or the Botanic Gardens.
"We can get the community on board," he said.
"They can jump on a bike or a treadmill for only five minutes if they want.
We potentially have more than 35,000 people who could donate a few minutes each. This is a way of raising awareness of the importance of physical activity."
AquaZone's Bruce Alexander said anyone with a heart rate monitor could donate their moves.
The initiative works by linking up with the MyWellnessApp.
"It's about getting people active," he said.
"People can use it anywhere."
Companies and businesses can also elect to pop in at a designated time, with staff donating their exercise moves for an hour or two.
Mr Suggett said the support group met on the fourth Wednesday of every month for lunch at Maceys Bistro.
Everyone is welcome to attend. To register to donate your moves visit www.aquazone.com.au and find out more information.
