Campo, who has won only one of his eleven starts but has weighted in on ten occasions, ran second in a restricted race at Warrnambool last week.
“He’s been a super consistent horse for his connections,” Daffy said. “It’s a shame he’s only won the one race. With a bit of luck I think he should have won another couple.
"The furthest back he’s run from his eleven starts is sixth. He ran second last week behind Mumbles but we had no excuses. Mumbles was just too good for us.
"I think this race on Thursday could be a bit easier then his last run but in saying that there are no easy races.
"We’ve got Dean Yendall who rode him last week riding again. Dean’s a top rider and having the benefit of riding the horse last week will be a real advantage.”
Bookmakers have installed Campo a $9 chance in the early betting markets for the race.
The running rail is out six metres for the eight event program. The first race is scheduled to start at 2.30pm with the last set down to begin at 6.10pm.
