The father and mother, who cannot be named because that would identify the complainant, are appearing in the Warrnambool County Court this week for a trial which is expected to last a couple of weeks in front of Judge Gregory Lyon.
Crown prosecutor Justin Lewis said in his opening address that the victims were allegedly abused for about five years until they were young teens.
Both girls finished up making four statements each to police.
It will be alleged the sex acts involved the couple and the daughters who were aged between about nine years old and 15 years old.
The complainants said they didn’t go to police earlier because they feared other family members would be targeted.
It’s alleged the offending involves alcohol, pornography, sex toys and a dog.
Barristers for the accused couple, Anthony Lavery and Con Mylonas, said the acts were not committed and the allegations were untrue.
