Terang and District trainers Matthew Craven and Margaret Lee have runners in the $60,000 Terang Pacing Cup tonight.
Craven has four runners, Egdan, Roy George, Wardan Express and Can't Refuse.
Lee's two runners are Jillby Chevy and Jillby Bandit.
The Emma Stewart-trained Born to Rocknroll is the form horse of the race, having won its last five starts.
The six-year-old will be challenged after it drew the outside of the second line, which ensures the gelding will have to work hard at some stage of the race if it is the feature in the finish.
Naracoorte trainer Greg Scholefield also has one of the big chance's in the race, Emain Macha, which has won four of its last five starts.
It's last loss was an impressive one, finishing third in the South Australia Cup last weekend.
The veteran of the race is 2017 winner Flaming Flutter, which has won $800,000 prizemoney during its long career. The pacing cup will be ran at 9.33pm and is the feature of a 10-race card.
Terang Harness Racing Club manager Mark Roberts said a big crowd was expected to attend the meeting.
"We have had a lot of interest in the community," Roberts said.
"A few football netball clubs have booked in for a night out and we have kids activities such as face painting, a stilt walker and a jumping castle. We have plenty of great volunteers so it is a real community event."

Roberts said the $60,000 prizemoney for the main race ensured a high quality field.
He said local trainers will have some stiff competition.
"We have trainers from down Geelong way who have set their horses for our meeting" he said.
"We will also have some runners from interstate."
The night will feature a celebrity race with champion marathon runner Virginia Moloney taking part.
The crowd will also have a chance to meet some of the past champions that have raced at Terang with the Pat A Hero initiative taking place.
Live music will feature, with singer-songwriter Ben Cross providing the entertainment.
The first race of the night is at 6.23pm with the 10th and final race at 11pm.
