Warrnambool Blue will travel to take on City Memorial Red in the penultimate round of the Western District Bowls Division (WDBD) Saturday Pennant.
Currently sixth on the ladder, Warrnambool Blue sits 28 points behind fourth-placed Port Fairy Red. In between on the same points as Warrnambool Blue is Dennington Red.
With a maximum of 16 points available in each match, Edwards knows his team needs something special over the last two weeks.
The 10-year bowls veteran said where there was life, there was hope.
"Mathematically it is possible but everything would have to go right," he said.
"You never go out thinking you are going to lose, you are always hoping for a win.
"It will be pretty tough to reach finals but who knows what could happen.
"City Memorial Red are a good side and it would be a big scalp for us if we could knock them over."
Port Fairy Red has a hard task ahead when it plays host to Koroit Blue, while Dennington Red will start favourite in its game against Terang Green.
