Brightbird Espresso, known by its iconic yellow bird symbol, is looking for new owners.
The business, opened in 2010, is located at the north end of the city's main street.
Owners Mark and Katrina Brightwell said the sale would offer a much-needed break, both eager to spend more time with their young family.
"It's time for a change," Mr Brightwell said.
"I'm looking forward to finally finishing the renovations at home and spending more time with the kids."
Returning to her hometown to raise a family with her UK-born husband in 2009, Mrs Brightwell said the region offered more affordability and space than their home in Melbourne.
"And we found everything we hoped for in Warrnambool," she said.
"But the kids are growing up fast and they've only known us being here at the cafe."
During their time at the helm Mr and Mrs Brightwell hosted community events at the cafe, raising more than $40,000 for various charities.
They have supported survivors of the Fiji earthquake, St Patrick's Day fire victims, members of the arts and fashion community.
They have also fundraised for Kidney Health Australia after their third child Mira was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease prior to her birth in 2012.
"She'll eventually need a transplant," Mr Brightwell said.
"Which is another reason why we'll want more time with the kids."
Using all locally-sourced trades, the pair have renovated the cafe's interior while the exterior underwent changes during the Warrnambool City Council Liebig Street upgrade.
Landmark real estate agent Peter Worden said it was the site's upstairs area that defined the venue.
"The New York-style warehouse loft has potential for extra rental," he said. "There's a large scope to do a multitude of things up there.
"It sets it apart from other sites on Liebig Street. It's literally two shop fronts for the price of one."
