The Killarney singer-songwriter is set to bring her unique sound to stages in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney from April.
She will be touring with Approachable Members of Your Local Community.
Fresh off her inaugural performance at this year’s 39th St Kilda Festival, the talented teen said she has found a new energy.
Her rejuvenation comes after performing a 45-minute set on Saturday before a crowd of 40,000 in what is Australia’s largest community festival.
Her evening session included eight songs with her makeshift band and two solos from her latest album Long Fall.
The 18 year-old said it was the first time she’d performed at the annual festival that attracts over 400,000 attendees.
“It was my first time and I’d go back 100 percent,” she said. “I was scheduled at the same time as The Preachers and The Cat Empire so I thought no one would come.
“But lots of people stopped by and decided to stay and it was a really respectful crowd.”
Schipper said she hoped she’d get a call-back from event organisers.
“I would love to play there again it’s a really cool festival.”
Schipper was invited to perform at the event on the proviso she was accompanied onstage by a band.
“I played with band members I’d met at other festivals,” she said. “It worked out really well. They were not just great amazing musicians but also amazing humans and we had such a good time.”
Schipper attributes the crowd with helping take her out of her comfort zone.
“I put down my guitar and sang and I felt confident and relaxed on stage,” she said. “I didn't overthink it I just moved freely and the crowd was really supportive.”
Schipper performed at the 2017 Port Fairy Folk Festival and has supported the likes of Little Georgia, Joe Mungovan and Riley Pearce.
She was the Triple J Unearthed competition winner for ‘Live at the Steps’.
