Police seized more than $9000, believed to be the proceeds of crime, and a traffickable amount of ice and marijuana in a Hamilton raid on Tuesday morning. Hamilton Police Acting Sergeant Michael Vaughan said search warrants were carried out at 6am on two properties at Kent Road and Kenna Avenue. He said two men, both in their 50s, were arrested following the raid. One has been bailed to the Hamilton Magistrates Court for June 12, while the other was released pending inquiries. Acting Sergeant Vaughan said the raid took two weeks of planning. “We’re very happy with the result given the large amount of proceeds found,” he said.
