The 82 year-old said he was disheartened to have to postpone but rain was beyond his control.
"We don't want all the kids and their families left out in the rain and the cold that's for sure," he said.
Mr Brocklehurst loves karaoke and he is sharing his passion with the community in the name of a good cause.
His planned karaoke event at Warrnambool’s Civic Green will now be postponed to Saturday April 6.
The afternoon event will run from 2pm to 6pm with all proceeds going to the Kids with Cancer Foundation.
The forecast for Saturday March 30, the original date, now includes morning hail and thunderstorms with temperatures only reaching 16 maximum.
"That's too bitter to be out in the open at the Civic Green," Mr Brocklehurst said.
Mr Brocklehurst has been hosting karaoke events for seven years and hopes to get a huge crowd at the event.
“I’m hoping there will be a few hundred people there,” he said.
Participants in Tom’s Karaoke will be able to choose from more than 6,000 songs.
All it will take is a gold coin donation to sing a song.
Mr Brocklehurst lost his granddaughter Sally Brocklehurst to brain cancer last year.
