Onlookers clapped along and swayed their hips as hundreds of jazz musicians marched on Sackville Street to Fiddlers Green.
Port Fairy’s Helen Crosier and Andi Besford wore fluffy feather boas and carried the banner for the Port Fairy Citizens Band in the street parade.
“We love dressing up,” Mrs Crosier said.
Festival organiser John Huf said he was thrilled with how the event had been going so far.
“We had a great night last night,” he said.
“We had a full house at the Reardon Theatre.
“It’s quite a buzz and I’m loving it.”
Mr Huf said there were 120 bands and more than 350 musicians in Port Fairy for the festival.
He said a huge crowd was expected for the gospel session on Sunday at St John’s Church.
“That’ll be packed out,” he said.
