There were scenes of generosity at a packed Hotel Warrnambool on Australia Day with punters buying bulk raffle tickets as they listened to some Aussie classics.

The Capricorn Records Countdown returned for a fourth year on Saturday with Michael Fitzgerald selecting the Easybeats Friday On My Mind as his number one Aussie song.
Daddy Cool’s Eagle Rock came in second.
Warrnambool Central Rotary Club’s Bob McMillan said rotary raised $1600 on the day with its raffles and food sales.
“Thank you to everyone who attended and donated money,” he said.
“The atmosphere was fantastic."
Mr McMillan said there was plenty of generosity among the crowd and some people bought 10 raffle tickets.
The money raised will go to Warrnambool and District Community Hospice which provides people at the end of their lives with the option of compassionate care in their own home.
The event featured three countdowns including a top ten Australian female songs of all time.
There was also a list of modern Aussie tunes selected by Shane Godfrey.
The free event began at 3pm and the crowd enjoyed music until late.
