Detective Sergeant Jason von Tunk, of the Portland police crime investigation unit, said Hamilton and Portland detectives, Warrnambool and Portland tasking unit officers and Warrnambool, Portland and Heywood officers were involved in executing a search warrant.
They raided a home at Satimar Road, Wando Vale, about 15 kilometres north of Casterton, at noon on Wednesday.
Officers found small amounts of ice and cannabis and weapons including an extendable baton, a taser, ammunition and an imitation firearm.
Road signs were also located and mobile phone seized.
"This has been a lengthy ongoing investigation into drug trafficking," Detective Sergeant von Tunk said.
"A 33-year-old Wando Vale man arrested, interviewed at the Hamilton police station and charged with trafficking and possessing drugs, weapons offences and possessing the proceeds of crime."
The man was charged and released on bail to appear in the Hamilton Magistrates Court on May 1.
Detective Sergeant von Tunk said the man was known to police and had been a person of interest for some time.
"The trafficking relates to an ongoing investigation and it will be alleged the accused man sold drugs to an undercover police officer," he said.
“The seized mobile phones are yet to be examined," he said.
Hamilton detectives also executed a search warrant at Murray Street in Casterton on Wednesday and seized a small amount of cannabis.
Two people were issued with cautions and another person is yet to be spoken to by police.
