The truck driver is a 38-year-old man.
Earlier: One person has died following a collision between a truck and a car at Mumbannar, near the South Australian border, on Wednesday night.
The collision occurred at 7.45pm on the Princes Highway.
A 16-year-old girl died at the accident scene.
A 42-year-old woman, a 33-year-old man and an 11-year-old boy were been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver was not injured and is assisting with their inquiries.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined at this stage.

Ambulance Victoria said a primary school aged boy was treated by paramedics after the collision.
Emergency services from Victoria and South Australia were called to the accident scene.
Ambulance Victoria paramedics treated the primary school aged boy for pelvis, abdominal and leg injuries.
He was flown by air ambulance helicopter to the Royal Children's Hospital in a serious condition.
One person from the truck was assessed by Ambulance Victoria paramedics at the scene, and wasn't taken to hospital.
Another person from the car was treated and transported by South Australia Ambulance Service.
