Accused arrested and charged with assault

He's also been charged with breaching a court order and will appear in the Hamilton Magistrates Court today.
The man was found hiding behind a shed at 11.25pm on Tuesday night, was arrested, interviewed, charged and remand in custody.
He will appear in court for a bail/remand hearing.
It's alleged the woman previously received minor injuries, including cuts and abrasions, and the arrest was part of an ongoing investigation.
The charged man is known to police.
