Police were called to the Hamilton Woolworths car park off Brown Street after reports the woman crashed her car at about 4.30pm.
Acting Sergeant Michael Vaughan said the woman returned a positive blood-alcohol breath test at the scene before blowing .193 at the station.
“This resulted in an immediate 12 month loss of licence, while her vehicle was also impounded,” he said.
The woman will appear at the Hamilton Magistrates Court in April.
