Given a helping hand by the good weather, Mr Goodland estimated around 1000 people turned out for the two-day event, while the caterers sold out on Saturday.
And as Mr Goodland traipsed around the Orford Sports Ground on Monday morning, he said punters shook his hand in appreciation for a weekend well spent.
“We were really pleased – it was probably the best one we've had in a while,” he said.
“But each year we get a little older and slower, so we try to find volunteers to help us out.”
Mr Goodland said the blade shearing and ute muster were the major crowd-pleasers, while more than 80 tractors were on show, with most of them taking part in the tractor pull.
But another highlight was an original 1983 SLR Torana – Mr Goodland’s own wedding car from the same year – that was proudly shown off by a new owner.
He said the rally has been at the same site for over 20 years and relies on word of mouth for its ongoing popularity.
“There's not many places you can get a great camp in a beautiful bush setting for just $10 a weekend,” Mr Goodland said.
