Police have revealed the motorcyclist who died was a young Dutch tourist.
A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the rider was a 20-year-old from the Netherlands.
She said the driver of the ute was a 73-year-old Portland man.
Sunday 11.30pm:
A motorcyclist is dead after a collision at Narrawong.
Police said they believed a motorcycle and red Holden Commodore utility collided on the Princes Highway near Livingston Road just after 9.30pm on Sunday.
The yet to be identified motorcyclist died at the scene, police said.
The male driver and sole occupant of the utility had been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said in a statement.
The exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing. Police remain at the site of the crash.
