Victorian Fury has named its squad for the 2019 Australian Netball League (ANL).
O’Connor is one of six training partners that have been selected to support the team. The ANL is a tier below the Super Netball national competition.
O’Connor’s selection will expose her to high-level coaching methods.
Newly appointed Fury head coach Di Honey said she will use her connections at the Melbourne Vixens, where she has been part of the coaching staff for the last six years, to lift training to a higher level.
“We will work closely with the Vixens to emulate the way they train,” Honey said.
“I am very excited to have a team that is made up of a blend of youth and experience and the next generation of Victorian talent.
“I feel we have selected a team that boasts flair and athleticism, plus versatility. Our approach from here on in will be hard work, lots of it, so they will become a well-drilled team.”
