A Warrnambool man has been charged after allegedly stabbing a woman with a pair of scissors.

Warrnambool police Sergeant Blake Amos said police attended a West Warrnambool address after reports of an alleged assault about 9.30am on Monday.
“A 19-year-old female presented with a stab wound to the forearm,” he said.
“She had a pair of scissors protruding from her arm.”
A 19-year-old male known to the victim was arrested and charged with intentionally causing injury and associated assault-related offences.
Sergeant Amos said the man was bailed to appear in Warrnambool Magistrates Court at a later date.
“We take family violence incidents very seriously and any violence towards a woman will not be tolerated,” he said.
