The lucky nine-year-old has been selected to toss the coin before the start of one of the Grand Slam matches. She will also have the opportunity to have a hit on the court with other juniors from the Warrnambool Indoor Tennis Club.
“I am looking forward to seeing the players and having a photo taken with them,” Rhea said.
“I really hope I get to meet Serena Williams, she is my favourite player.
“She is really determined and has come back strong after her break.”
Eight-year-old Callum Wade has also been selected to toss a coin at the Open.
Both juniors will receive a commemorative coin, featuring an image of Australian tennis great Rod Laver, which will be used on the day and then theirs to keep as a memento of the occasion.
