Another trough will form over inland Victoria on Tuesday and will drift eastwards on Wednesday as a weak cold front crosses Tasmania.
A ridge of high pressure will form south of the state on Thursday as a stronger cold front develops over waters south of Western Australia.
Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be hot with a 30 per cent chance of showers on Thursday.
