Jan Oosthuizen won the Shipwreck Coast Fishing Classic’s major prize – a boat, motor and trailer valued at $11,000 – on Sunday.
“I’ve been very lucky to win this beautiful boat here behind me just by lucky entry,” he said at the presentations at Warrnambool’s Civic Green.
“It is just unreal, just an unbelievable feeling.”
Richardson Marine’s Edward Richardson said Mr Oosthuizen was a worthy winner.
“We’re really happy that Jan’s won it this year,” he said.
“He’s a really keen fisho and works hard at it, so it couldn’t go to a better guy.”
Amanda Richards was the winner of the 'Buy a Key' competition.
She had the winning key to a box full of fishing supplies.
All the funds from the initiative went to South West Regional Cancer Centre.
The Shipwreck Coast Fishing Classic ran for 10 days with nightly weigh-ins at the Warrnambool breakwater.
Anglers could fish lakes, rivers and the ocean between Peterborough and Yambuk.
