There is ample parking in the off-street car parks that doesn’t get used.
Putting more parking on the highway isn’t going to solve the problem of people not wanting to walk more than a couple of metres to a shop.
Plus the green spine we have is a lovely welcome to Warrnambool.

Concerts and music festivals are great but should take place in suitable venues and with reasonable and safe amplification.

So people tend to forget that the businesses need people to support them to survive and to be able to hire your children/grandchildren when they are looking for jobs.

City’s ratepayer group says council survey on proposed rate rise “flawed” (January 7)
Of course it was.
The entire thing was written so the only possible outcomes were a rate rise or cutting services as these were council's preferred options.
The entire thing is geared so they can throw it back at rate payers when the outcome is implemented and say "but this is what you told us you wanted."
The survey doesn't allow answers relating to improving their efficiencies or cost-cutting measures outside these options because that's not want council wants to do.
