The Portland-based drag strip will host 155 entrants across 12 classes in round six of the ANDRA (Australian National Drag Racing Association) Sportsman Series.
South Coast Drag Racing Association secretary Scott Cleary said he was expecting another big weekend, after the club held a bumper round four in November.
“We have four or five teams travelling from Western Australian and every state and territory except the Northern Territory is represented,” he said.
“We normally get around 140-160 entrants, so 150 is good for this time of year when everyone is away.
“You won’t get to see quality and quantity like this outside a capital city and for $20 you can watch it all day.”
