Storm Pabuk, which has killed at least four people, was downgraded from tropical depression to a low pressure system and dissipated less than two days after making landfall in southern Thailand, the Meteorological Department says.

Three of the fatalities were in in Nakhon Si Thammarat, the province hardest hit by the storm with at least 60 houses destroyed, while the other death was in Pattani, the Bangkok Post reported on Sunday.
Torrential downpours and gusty winds are expected to continue in the upper southern region of Thailand, the department said.
Tourism hotspots Phuket and Krabi were largely unaffected, with the Thai navy late on Saturday sending hundreds of tourists who had been evacuated from Koh Racha island as a precaution back to Phuket.
Famed island Koh Samui experienced a brief power outage on Friday. Its airport was shut on Friday before being reopened Saturday.
Pabuk, initially a tropical storm, was downgraded to a depression on Saturday. Thai authorities initially feared that it could be the worst storm in decades, however it did not wreak as much havoc as forecast.
