Maher, who trains in partnership with David Eustace at Caulfield, also saddles up Yulong Monoceros, Black Sail, Kaching and Sherrif John Stone on the nine-race program.
“I’ve got a few good chances but I think Enigman is a great each way hope at nice odds,” he said.
“Enigman resumes from a break and has won two of his three runs when he’s resumed. He’s drawn a very good barrier in two and has the services of top jockey Mark Zahra.
“I’m very happy with his condition in the lead up to the race. I’m confident with luck in the run he should be in the finish.”
Bookmakers rate Enigman a $13 chance of winning the $125,000 race over 1100 metres.
Leila’s Star and Moor Wanted are Peter Chow’s representatives at Caulfield.
The Warrnambool-based trainer is attempting to train his first Caulfield winner after leading in winners at the other three metropolitan tracks, while Symon Wilde accepted with Mischa and Sabotage.
Darren Weir’s Warrnambool satellite stable saddles up a few runners including Civil Disobedience and More Bricks.
