A rock was thrown through the window of a Warrnambool house while the elderly resident was home alone on New Year’s Eve, prompting a police call for witnesses.

Senior Constable Aaron Toulmin, of Warrnambool police, said a small rock the size of the palm of your hand was thrown through the kitchen window about 7.30pm.
An elderly woman was home alone at the time of the incident which happened at the corner of Merri and Rowy Streets.
Hours later, someone walked across the top of a parked Audi, shattering the sunroof and leaving footprints up the bonnet.
The owners of the 2003 black Audi, which was parked in the car park opposite Tafe on New Year’s Eve, were at Lake Pertobe when incident happened between 10pm and 11.30pm.
“They’ve done a fair bit of damage,” Senior Constable Toulmin said.
