Ongoing
Fishing: The Shipwreck Coast Fishing Classic conducts catch weigh-ins at the breakwater each day from 7pm. Competition closes January 12 with prizes awarded at the Civic Green.
Dinosaurs: Jurassic Creatures will continue to roar at Lake Pertobe until January 27.
Flagstaff Hill: Summer by the Sea School Holiday Program hosts children’s activities daily at 10am and 2pm at Warrnambool’s Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village until January 25.
Art: Paul Jennings’ Unreal Exhibition will run throughout the school holidays at the Warrnambool Art Gallery until February 24.
January 9, Wednesday
Moyneyana: It’s all about the kids on Wednesday when the Moyneyana Festival host a Kids Fun Day and Rides on the Fiddlers Green from 10am to 2pm with all rides, sausages and activities free. Between 1pm and 4pm it’s Inflatable Day at Belfast Aquatics. Adults can unwind after all this fuss with an evening yoga session at the Port Fairy Yacht Club from 7pm to 8pm.
Beachfest: Kids aged six to 14 can join the Defy Fitness Rail Trail Ride along the coast. Bring bikes and snacks and meet at Pavilion Cafe and Bar for a ride from 10am to 12.30pm. Seaside Escape – sensory activities hosted by A Cup of Sugar at the Pavilion Cafe and Bar from 10am to 11.30am. Warrnambool Street Art Walk will meet at the Warrnambool Art Gallery at 10.50am for a walk until midday. Storytime at the Warrnambool Library for children aged three to six from 11am. Rhyme Time for tots aged four months to 3 years at the Warrnambool Library from 2.30pm. Chill on the Hill is on at Flagstaff Hill with live music from 5pm to 8.30pm. Flaggy 5k Run Series will see runners depart Flagstaff Hill at 5.45pm.
Film: F Project Cinema is screening ‘The Death of Stalin’ at Warrnambool’s Mozart Hall from 7.30pm.
History: The Warrnambool Family History Group are hosting a Cemetery Walk at 10am. Meet your guide at the rotunda for a 1.5 hour tour.
Theatre: Holiday Actors are presenting ‘The Boy from Oz’ at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre at 7.30pm
January 10, Thursday
Tennis: The Warrnambool Lawn Tennis Club are hosting the final day of their Country Week competition from 9am.
Beachfest: Lake Pertobe Discovery Guided Walk will depart from Mini Golf by the Sea at 9.30am, returning at 11.30am. The Warrnambool Art Gallery is hosting NGV Kids on Tour, Make Believe from 10.30am to 11.30am. Storytime at the Warrnambool Library for 3 to 6 year olds from 11am. Sandsculpting Workshops at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm. Bug Screen Printing from 11am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 4pm at the Pavilion Cafe and Bar. Snags on the Beach, free beach barbecue at McGennans Beach from 12 noon. The Gizmo for kids aged 6 years is an arts and craft hour-long session at the Warrnambool Art Gallery from 2pm. A Cup of Groove freestyle dance session at Warrnambool’s Mozart Hall from 7pm to 8pm.
Theatre: Holiday Actors are presenting The Boy from Oz at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre at 7.30pm plus 1.30 matinee on Saturday.
Moyneyana: The Odd Socks Circus will entertain all ages with their whacky show on the Fiddlers Green from 11am to 12 noon and again from 2pm to 3pm. Come and Try Children’s Yoga at East Beach from 2pm to 3pm. Port Fairy Citizens Band from 6pm to 7pm at Fiddlers Green.
Film: The Port Fairy Film Society is screening The Leisure Seeker at the Reardon Theatre at 7.30pm as part of their summer series.
January 11, Friday
Quilting: The Southern Right Creative Festival will host a quilting a creative event January 11 to 13 at Warrnambool’s Brauer College from 10am to 4pm, raising funds for various charities.
Beachfest: Rhyme Time at the Warrnambool Library for tots aged four months to three years from 10.30am. Summer Sew is hosting workshops on sewing a swim bag at the Pavilion Cafe and Bar from 11am to 2pm. Try beach soccer at McGennans Beach from 1pm to 3pm. Become an UNREAL author with an arts and craft workshop at the Warrnambool Art Gallery from 2pm to 3.30pm. Come and Try Fishing at Hopkins Bridge from 4.30pm to 7pm.
Theatre: Holiday Actors are presenting The Boy from Oz at Warrnambool’s Lighthouse Theatre at 7.30pm plus 1.30pm.
Cheese: The Rotary Club of Port Fairy are presenting Shaw River Buffalo Cheese Tours on Princes Highway, Yambuk from 9.30am.
Moyneyana: Emergency Services Day at Railway Place Community House from 10am to 2pm. Sailing at the Port Fairy Yacht Club from 5.30pm. Yambuk Trivia Night from 7.30pm at the Yambuk Hall. South Coast Dance Demo from 3pm to 4pm on the Fiddlers Green.
Film: The Port Fairy Film Society are screening ‘Small Foot’ at the Reardon Theatre on Friday from 2.30pm and ‘Black Panther’ from 7.30pm.
Night Market: The Summer Night Market is on again at Warrnambool’s Lake Pertobe with live music, food, gift stalls, clothing, rides and entertainment from 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
Karaoke: Part of the fun of the night market is having a go at outdoor karaoke with Singstar from 5pm to 8.30pm
Outdoor Movie: The night market is followed by the screening of ‘Jumanji – Welcome to the Jungle’ at Lake Pertobe from 8pm.
January 12, Saturday
Moyneyana: Black Snake and the Connies will entertain crowds on the Fiddlers Green from 10am to 2pm. Hot Rods and Rock ‘n’ Roll will then rock the crowds with live music from 6pm to 10pm.
Camperdown: The Camperdown Car and Bike Show will be held on Manifold Street from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Beachfest: Begin the day with Beach Yoga at the Pavilion Cafe and Bar from 9am to 10am. The Blue Hole Mini Triathlon is on at Warrnambool’s Blue Hole at 10am. Warrnambool Street Art Walk departs Warrnambool Art Gallery at 10.50am, returning to the gallery at 12 noon. The Pop Up Promenade Artist in Residence is Megan Nicolson who will be at the Pavilion Cafe and Bar from 11am to 1pm. Tunes in the Dunes at McGennans Beach from 11am to 3pm. Come ‘n’ Try Ultimate Frisbee at McGennans Beach from 1pm to 3pm.
Dogs: The Warrnambool Greyhound Racing Seaside Festival is on again at Wannon Park from 5.30pm with rides and entertainment for the children, food, drinks and greyhound racing.
History: The Warrnambool Family History Group are hosting a Cemetery Walk at 2pm. Meet your guide at the rotunda for a 1.5 hour tour.
Art: The Warrnambool Art Gallery is hosting a Yarn Sessions with Uncle Robbie Lowe from 1.30pm to 2.30pm. Learn about local Indigenous culture in story and tales of the past.
Trains: The Warrnambool Model Railway Exhibition is on at St Josephs Primary School on Botanic Road from 10am to 5pm.
Wrestling: Gold Class Wrestling is on the Arc Stadium from 7.30pm, gates open at 6.30pm.
Kids: I CAN South West are hosting ‘Obstacool’ at Lake Pertobe from 10am to 4pm. The obstacle course is for kids aged four to 16 with proceeds to the networks mentoring program for children with autism. The course sessions run for 45 minutes and begin on the hour with midday sessions restricted to special needs and their carers.

The Pop Up Promenade Artist in Residence is Ella Webb. She’ll be sharing her creative tips at the front of the Pavilion Cafe and Bar from 11am to 1pm.
Markets: The Undercover Market is on at the Warrnambool Showgrounds from 8am to 1pm. The Fresh Market is on at Lake Pertobe from 9am to 1pm.
