The cyclist was airlifted to hospital with serious head injuries after his BMX bike collided with a silver Toyota sedan travelling south on Morris Road about 8.45pm.
The man wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
He was flown to a Melbourne hospital where he laid unidentified for four days.
Police identified the man last Thursday.
But police, in a statement on Monday, said the man had died.
Police said the male driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and assisted police with their inquiries.
The exact cause of the collision is still being investigated.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
