An upper level trough will approach from the west, moving over southern Victoria tonight and clearing into the Tasman Sea early Saturday.
A high pressure system is forecast to move into the Bight later today.
The high will then drift eastwards to be centred south of Adelaide on Saturday and over the Tasman Sea on Sunday and Monday, extending a ridge across Victoria during that period.
Warrnambool is expecting a top of 17 degrees on Saturday, 21 on Sunday, Monday 28, Christmas Day 23, Wednesday 22, Thursday 29 and next Friday 26.
