Warrnambool police Sergeant Danny Wright said a 36-year-old Warrnambool man was intercepted by police on Sunday night.
He appeared to be trying to conceal something in his vehicle and officers found he was in possession of an imitation firearm.
The man was arrested, interviewed, charged and remanded in custody to appear at court today.
He has a significant criminal record.
In a separate case, a 39-year-old man already on a community corrections order, and bail, was also arrested on Sunday.
He was placed on a CCO during March after using stolen charity food vouchers to obtain groceries.
Police allege that on October 3 he stole clothes valued at $22 from the Salvation Army store and he was back then charged and released on bail.
On Sunday he was intercepted by police officers riding a bike in Crawley Street.
He was found in possession of a small zip lock bag containing .22 grams of ice, arrested, interviewed and remand in custody to go to court.
A woman is also in the cells to appear in court charged in relation to three matters.
A stolen trailer was found at her Raglan Parade address when police executed a search warrant last Thursday.
She has also been charged with a $600 theft from Supercheap Auto in Colac and in relation to stolen number plates on a car.
The 26-year-old woman surrendered to police at 11pm on Saturday night.
A Hamilton man, 39, charged with burglary and theft of a vehicle will also appear at court today for a bail/remand hearing.
And a 24-year-old former Warranmbool man was arrested during the weekend on two outstanding warrants for causing damage to public transport vehicles.
There were already 64 cases listed for hearings in the Warrnambool Magistrates Court on Monday.
