The latest was the attempted theft of an ATM in Skipton at 1.50am on Saturday.
There were other incidents at midnight on Friday at Creswick, in Tongala last Wednesday morning at 3.21am and at Beaufort on November 29 at 3.10am.
Saturday, 5pm: A Skipton security guard has scared off thieves attempting to steal an ATM overnight.
Warrnambool police Sergeant Tom Morris said offenders attempted to break into the rear of a Commonwealth ATM about 1.50am on Saturday.
He said the ATM was connected to a Skipton opportunity shop.
"The offenders were disturbed by a local Skipton security guard and they decamped on foot," Sergeant Morris said.
"It appears no money has been taken. Investigations are ongoing."

At 10.30am: A crime scene investigation van is on its way to Skipton following an alleged attempted theft of an ATM on Saturday.
Warrnambool police Sergeant Bec Miles said the incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning.
She said police were on their way to Skipton to investigate.
“That is all the information we have at this time,” she said.
