Phil Leggett, 47, of Truro Court, pleaded guilty in Warrnambool Magistrates Court to damaging property, unlawful assault and making threats to kill.
Lawyer Ian Pugh said Leggett was a heavy cannabis user and had experienced a melt down after he stopped taking pain medication prescribed following a motor vehicle accident.
Leggett was placed on a 12-month community corrections order with conditions he do programs targeting his drug and anger issues.
On December 6, Leggett was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle near Warrnambool's breakwater about 11am.
The victim told police the rider was yelling and screaming for no reason. He said he was travelling on Banyan Street when the motorcycle overtook the van, causing the driver to brake hard to avoid a collision.
Leggett then approached the driver, yelled abuse and spat in his face. He then rode away but approached the car again at a roundabout at Timor Street.
He raised the windscreen wipers before punching the window several times with both his fists, causing it to smash.
He was arrested on Monday night following an unrelated incident where he threatened to smash a woman’s teeth in with a crow bar.
The court heard the woman was "extremely fearful" of the accused, who police located hiding in a bathroom of a Warrnambool property about 9pm.
Police attended Mr Leggett's property later that evening and a search located a Harley Davidson motorbike in a rear shed.
