The Vic Country pair finished their campaign with a washout against Northern Territory on Friday.
Jackson, who played for Woodford before joining Victorian Premier Cricket ranks, made 226 runs across the carnival at an average of 28 including a high of 89 against Queensland.
“I struggled early in the week for scores so I tried to stay positive and back myself,” he said.
“I knew if I backed myself, the scores would come.”
Couch, who hails from Nirranda, took eight wickets.
“It’s always good to have ‘Brodes’ around, we’ve been pretty close mates for a long time,” Jackson said of having a south-west mate in the Vic Country team with him.
Jackson said the pair would return to Geelong, eager to make a mark.
“It was a good couple of weeks away,” he said.
“We didn’t win as many games as we’d have liked but we take a lot away from it that we can take back to club cricket with Geelong.”
