In the same time Casterton had 4.8mm, Dartmoor 5.4mm, Port Fairy 3.4mm, Warrnambool 4.8mm, Portland 2mm, Cape Otway 2.4 and Hamilton just 1.4mm.
Further north Ouyen got 21mm, Edenhope 23.8, Warracknabeal 25mm and Ballarat 17.6mm.
The highest falls were in parts of the north-east, with 31mm at Benalla between 9am and 2pm and Edi Upper, south of Wangaratta, topped the state with 62mm.
At 7.15am: Heavy rain is forecast across the south-west today - and has already well and truly started in Warrnambool.
There's a 100 per cent chance of showers, which will become less likely in the afternoon, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
There's also the chance of thunderstorms.
Winds will be west to south-westerly 15 to 20 km/h tending south-east to south-westerly 15 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day.
Warrnambool is expecting a top temperature of 19 degrees, Portland and Hamilton 17 and Colac 21.
There's also a severe weather warning for heavy rain in the south-west , Central, Mallee, Northern Country, North Central, North East, Wimmera and parts of West and South Gippsland forecast districts.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected to develop across the warning area this morning, with periods of heavy rainfall likely that may lead to flash flooding.
Rainfall totals of 30 to 50mm are expected during the morning and afternoon - with locally higher totals in the 50 to 100mm range possible.
The heaviest falls since 9am Wednesday until 7am today were Mount William 22.8mm, Hamilton 19, Porty Fairy 12.8 and Dartmoor 10.4. Warrnambool had about 5mm.
Gale wind warning have been issued for the south-west on Thursday and Friday.
There's also a brown rot advice warning for the south-west, Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central, North East, South West, Central, West and South Gippsland and East Gippsland regions.
