As one of the organisers of the annual event Mr Morris said he wants the tenth anniversary to be a “real show stopper”.
Mr Morris is calling on sporting groups to challenge one another at the Australia Day event.
“It’d be great to see some local footy teams take on some truckies in the tug-o-war,” he said.
“The truckie sprint is always popular too and there’s some pretty good prize money involved.”
Aside from challenges the event includes food stalls, a deejay, children’s rides and entertainment.
Located at Victoria Park, the event attracts hundreds of vehicles from across all states, lured by the $35,000 worth of prizes.
“It wholly and solely depends on the weather,” Mr Morris said. “From a few hundred to a couple of thousand it’s hard to know.”
The Koroit Truck Show also won the Moyne Shire Council Australia Day Event of the Year award in 2017.
This year part-proceeds will go to ‘Need for Feed Disaster Relief’ assisting drought-affected farmers.
Mr Morris said the traditional hay bale truck built on the highway was finished this week.
