Their artwork included a giant Santa and an outfit created entirely from marine debris collected in between Shelly beach and Levy’s beach over the last year.
“I think art is a great way to get the message out that this is washing up on our beaches,” Mrs Hughson said.
“The positive thing is people are becoming more aware of it and getting involved in clean ups. So even though it's a bit depressing seeing all the plastic, we feel like we're actually doing something about it.”
