The Warrnambool Toy Run left Rafferty’s and onto Port Fairy, Koroit, Mailors Flat, Grassmere, Bushfield and Woodford, finishing at Lake Pertobe with a barbecue.
A Camperdown rider, aged in his 50s, who fell off his bike at Dennington, and was taken to hospital with a suspected broken arm, failed to mar the event.
Organiser Trevor Warnecke said they were overwhelmed with the community response, filling a Salvation Army van with donated toys to be distributed for Christmas. “They were really rapt. It was a really good turnout,” Mr Warnecke said.
