The Seahawks are a chance to end their eight-game losing streak when they host Ararat Redbacks and Hamilton Hurricanes – who have two wins between them – this weekend.
Noter said the bottom-placed Seahawks were happy with their progress, using the CBL competition to develop players for future Big V rosters.
“Most of our players are 17, there’s a couple who are 18,” he said.
“Adam Lawson and Michael Barnes are then our oldest in the team.”
Noter said the Seahawks’ morale was high as the gains were evident with players enjoying “being part of a team, being out there and playing minutes”.
“That has been a bonus – the kids can see they are improving,” he said.
“Against Mount Gambier last round, it was the second time we’d met them, and the comments from them was they saw the improvement as well.”
Noter will also coach the winless Mermaids in a double-header against Bellarine Storm and Geelong Supercats.
Big V championship winner Amy Wormald will suit up for the Mermaids on Saturday night.
Noter said the Mermaids, who have recorded six defeats thus far, would benefit from stronger numbers.
All four games are at St Joseph’s Primary School. The Mermaids will play Bellarine at 6pm Saturday with the Seahawks to face Ararat at 8pm.
The Mermaids will then host Geelong at 12pm Sunday with the Seahawks to hit the floor against Hamilton at 2pm.
Terang Tornadoes’ men’s and women’s teams will play Bellarine on the road on Sunday.
